Bio
Danny Ellis learned to serve others by watching his parents work in children’s homes helping disadvangaed youth. Being the youngest of five children, Danny learned competitiveness from his older brothers. Being raised in children’s homes, Danny learned toughness and determination from children who were already toughened by life’s circumstances. He also learned to love people going through tough times. Following his parents’example of service, Danny went to law school to help the helpless. After Graduation, Danny practiced in Jackson, Tennessee, for ten years focusing on personal injury and criminal defense. Danny also served on the Jackson City Council and as Vice Mayor of Jackson. Wanting to devote more time to his family, Danny took a job with the defense firm Allen, Kopet and Associates in Knoxville, Tennessee.
In August 2011, while sitting in a Cracker Barrel in Pigeon Forge, Danny was recruited by his friend Gary Massey to Massey and Associates in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Having an attack of conscience, Danny returned to helping the injured. Since 2011, Danny has launched himself fully into trial work to plead the case of the less fortunate.
In March of 2018, Danny accepted a position with Truck Wreck Justice, PLLC, a firm that specialized is tractor trailer and commercial bus litigation. With this firm, Danny is able to utilize his 18 years of experience, trial skills, and learning to best help those injured by the reckless and negligent acts of these companies and their drivers.
Danny has earned the reputation of being willing to try his cases and for using cutting-edge techniques to achieve full justice. Danny is also known as always willing to lend support and give helpful advice to other lawyers pursing justice. He considers being a dean of the deposition college and a faculty member of the Keenan Trial Institute his greatest professional achievement and has taught hundreds of attorneys trial and litigation skills necessary to hold wrongdoers accountable. Danny has alos authored the Tennessee chapter in the book, Negligence andPurpose, elements and Evidence, The Role of Foreseeabiity in the Law of Each State. ISBN 978-0-9980073-3-5 (2018).
