Bio

Bob is a Virginia trial attorney who focuses his practice on truck accident law, wrongful death, and catastrophic personal injury claims. Bob has jury trial experience in both state and federal courts and is experienced handling all types of complex trucking claims.

Bob has also spoken to national audiences about trial strategies, cases he has taken to verdict, and different types of trucking claims. He has most recently spoken to leading trucking attorneys about collision avoidance and collision mitigation technology in the trucking industry, and how manufacturers or telematics companies can be held liable in product liability claims for either failing to use this technology or for providing defective products.

Bob is unique from other practitioners in that his trial partner is also his life partner: his wife of over twenty years, Lauren Byrne. Bob and Lauren have tried numerous cases together and their firm was recognized by Virginia Lawyers Weekly for having three of the largest reported Virginia verdicts in 2023.
