Bio

Shortly after graduating from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York, Randy Kinnard joined the 173rd Airborne Brigade in Vietnam as a 2nd Lieutenant, Airborne Ranger. He was awarded the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry, the Bronze Star for Valor, Purple Heart and Combat Air Medal for 28 air assaults in combat. He commanded 275 men in combat for six months, “one of the highest honors and responsibilities of my life,” he says.

Certified as a Civil Trial Specialist through the National Board of Trial Advocacy and as a Medical Malpractice Specialist through the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys. He is also certified in both through the Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal Education and Specialization. He has tried over 250 jury trials in 47 years of trial practice. He is a member of the Inner Circle of Advocates - top 100 Plaintiff Trial Attorneys in the United States, is past president of the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association and is currently Chairman of the Ethics Committee of TTLA, a member of the Ethics Committee of the Tennessee Bar Association, a member of the Ethics Committee of AAJ.
