Philip M. Halpern is the managing partner of Collier, Halpern, Newberg & Nolletti, LLP. With more than 80 reported decisions and more than three decades of experience in representing individuals, corporations and Fortune 500 companies, Mr. Halpern can be relied on to handle your most complex and challenging litigation issues. Offering extensive trial and appellate experience and a strong commitment to client advocacy, his practice focuses on commercial litigation, estates, employment litigation, real estate litigation, and securities litigation. Mr. Halpern is a magna cum laude graduate of Fordham University, where he majored in economics and is a graduate of Pace University School of Law where he obtained his juris doctor. He began his legal career in 1980 as a law clerk to Federal Judge Irving Ben Cooper in the Southern District of New York. He is admitted to practice law in the states of New York and Connecticut and regularly appears in the federal and state courts in those jurisdictions as well as nation-wide. He has taken cases to successful verdict in more than a dozen states.

Among Mr. Halpern's most notable memberships are his positions as fellow of the American Bar Foundation, fellow of the New York Bar Foundation and member of the Office of Court Administration Advisory Committee on Civil Practice. He is also a member of the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University's Board of Visitors and is a mediator in the Southern District of New York. He has also been a member of the advisory council for the board of judges for the Southern District of New York. He is also a member of the advisory council for the Metropolitan Section of the Professional Golfer's Association and a member of the Executive Board of the Metropolitan Golf Association.

In 2002, Mr. Halpern authored a two-volume book for Thompson Publishing Company on civil procedure entitled, "Civil Pretrial Proceedings in New York." He has published a number of articles in various litigation-related publications and one in the Pace Law Review.

In addition to his adjunct professorship at Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University, he has lectured for the Office of Court Administration, New York State Bar Association, New York City Bar Association and a number of Bar Associations on a variety of litigation topics.
