With more than 35 years of courtroom experience, Matthew W. Stein represents clients across the Commonwealth of Kentucky. He represents personal injury and wrongful death clients who have suffered from car wrecks, motorcycle wrecks, big truck wrecks, and bus wrecks; medical negligence; slip and falls; industrial accidents or any other manner of incidents that lead to serious injury and death. Mr. Stein also has extensive litigation experience with breach of contract and business tort claims, and other business-related claims as well.

Mr. Stein is the founding partner of Stein Whatley Astorino, PLLC (www.steinwhatley.com) which is a litigation firm with a focus on serious personal injury accidents. Renowned for their litigation prowess, particularly in catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases, the firm serves as a valuable resource for out-of-state personal injury firms seeking local counsel. They also collaborate with other legal practitioners, providing assistance in litigating and leading jury trials across the states of Kentucky and Indiana. As partner, Mr. Stein focuses the firm's litigation efforts on catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases resulting from car accidents, truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, slip & fall accidents, medical malpractice, nursing home abuse and neglect, assaults, dog bites, industrial accidents, and job site accidents (worker’s compensation).

Mr. Stein graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture in 1985. While attending the University of Kentucky he lettered in football for the Wildcats. He went on to study law at the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctorate in 1989.
